Introduction to Identifying Individuals at Risk (WP10)

In this video, Federica Rossetti and Torben Hansen, leaders of the Work Package on Identifying Individuals at Risk (WP10) in JA PreventNCD, introduce a new approach to cancer and NCD prevention—one that recognises that prevention isn’t one-size-fits-all. The work package focuses on:

• Integrating genetic, demographic, and behavioural data
• Addressing risk factors like tobacco use and physical inactivity
• Developing smarter, more targeted interventions
• Delivering support to those most at risk, at the right time
• Promoting a holistic view of health that adapts to the individual

By embracing personalised prevention, the team aims to improve health outcomes, reduce inequalities, and make prevention more effective across Europe.
