Introduction to Healthy Living Environments (WP6)

In this video, Rosana Pérez, Katarzyna Brukało, and Helena Križan—leaders of the Healthy Living Environments team (WP6) in JA PreventNCD—share how they’re transforming communities into places where the healthy choice becomes the easy choice. The work package focuses on:

• Creating supportive environments where people live, learn, work, and play
• Promoting breastfeeding-friendly settings
• Improving access to healthy food, physical activity, and green spaces
• Reducing exposure to harmful factors
• Co-creating over 50 local actions with communities across Europe

From urban design to community-led initiatives, this work is helping to build healthier, more equitable environments—and inspiring others to do the same.
