JA Preventncd Tree With Branding

The JA PreventNCD Project Tree

JA PreventNCD - Joint Action on Cancer and other NCDs prevention – Action on Health Determinants is a large, ambitious and complex initiative. With more than 100 partners across 25 countries, 10 work packages, 60 tasks, 113 sub-tasks, and 98 pilots, it brings together a wide range of activities, expertise, and perspectives.

The Project Tree was created at the start of the initiative to visualise the project, its structure and scale, in a simple way while also capturing the values and most important aspects of delivering a unified voice in NCD prevention.

  • The Leaves represent the 60 tasks carried out across Europe. Together they show the breadth of activity and how each task contributes to the wider goals. The colours of the leaves follow the brand colours of each work package, which are also represented in the project’s logo.
  • The Branches represent the 10 work packages, each addressing a different theme such as monitoring, social inequalities, regulation and taxation, or dissemination and communication.
  • The Trunk stands for the unity of the 25 countries and more than 100 organisations working together. It holds the project together and ensures that knowledge and collaboration flow across all activities.
  • The Roots (not shown in the graphic) reflect the foundation of the Joint Action — the evidence, experience, and lessons learned from previous EU-funded initiatives.

The Project Tree illustrates how the work of many different partners and activities grows into a single, coherent structure with one shared purpose: reducing the burden of cancer and other non-communicable diseases and building healthier societies across Europe.
