JA PreventNCD Executive Committee & External Expert Advisory Board Meetings

The first JA PreventNCD in-person Executive Committee (ExCo) meeting and External Expert Advisory Board meeting in 2025 is taking place in Budapest, Hungary 5-6th March.  

The EEAB is composed of international and multidisciplinary experts in the field of cancer and NCD Prevention. The advisory board’s task is to strengthen the scientific rigor of the efforts conducted within the JA PreventNCD and to contribute to optimal relevance. The ExCo is a delegated body responsible for the day-to-day scientific and technical coordination of the Joint Action. It consists of the Project Coordinator, Scientific Coordinator, the Coordinator’s Project Manager, Work Package (WP) leaders and their co-leaders. The body is chaired by the Scientific and Project Coordinators, and has monthly online meetings, in addition to two in-person meetings.   

In addition to ExCo and EEAB members, the JA PreventNCD thematic coordinators will participate in this meeting. The thematic coordinators are consortium members responsible for coordination of the major NCD risk factors, which are embedded as cross cutting themes in the JA PreventNCD project. The thematic coordinators will help maintain an overview of activities within the project that relate to each risk factor.
